I went NCS the first part involved going away for four days with a group of people I did not know and doing different team building exercise e.g. rock climbing, canoeing, zip wiring and building a raft where we had to work together as a team.

The second part I went away again for four days staying at university where I learnt what it is like to be a student and learnt various life skills such as money management and budgeting skills to know what university life is like. I also developed my communication skills as I had to take part public speaking delivering a presentation the group and to parents.

The last part I done fundraising for charity which involved team work, as well as a campaign for the charity to raise awareness about the charity. As part of the fundraising I had to deliver a presentation to a company explaining why they should donate to our fundraising project. I also had to go to various shops to get donations such as vouchers to go toward the raising of funds. To raise awareness of the charity I was involved in setting up a stall in Bromley High Street giving out leaflets, refreshments and doing face painting.

During the last part of NCS I also took part in voluntary work where I work worked in school garden cleaning it up, painting plant pots and making getting in ready for when the children return to school.

During my time at NCS made new friends, learnt new skills, learnt how to communicate better. During this time I have demonstrated that I can work with others as part of a team, I can communicate and working with the general public and I have grown in confidence.

My Hobbies & Interests

My passion is to achieve my goals. I like learning about how to do makeup and hair, as I’ve been learning how to do hair I’ve even started doing my own hair and had people come up to me to ask if I can do their hair. I'm still learning how to do makeup but I’m getting there I sometimes do my mums makeup when she wants to go out with friends. I am very interested in hair and makeup and I love doing my makeup and doing different looks and being very creative. I’m also into fashion I always make DIY clothes turning my old clothes into something stylish and fashionable. I’m really into fashion and would also love to work in a clothes shop. I am still young and still deciding what I want to do as a career but I think working in a clothes or drugstore shop would start me off. I love basketball and cheerleading which show that I’m very active and healthy.
