I am following day by day issues of operational management of our chartered vessels (I am responsible for 8 reefer vessels supplying European markets) and of our own cargo loaded on major container lines.

I cooperate strictly with management and operations in Central America in order to find the best logistic and strategic combination for our trading. We are constantly reacting to emergency situation that the nature of business imposes us to face.

Taking advantage from my experience and knowledge of contract and negotiations as shipbroker, I am also involved in negotiations for chartering new tonnage (reefer and/or container vessels), pricing new freights with the shipping lines and sometimes in tenders for bunker purchase.

I work constantly to produce reports and calculations for budgeting, accounting and financial purposes.

I worked as senior shipbroker managing the day to day job as shipbroker maintaining relationships and cooperating on the day by day business with several clients mainly situated in Italy, Europe, Middle East and China with frequent business trips. During these years, I worked hardly with the property and the management of the company to grow the dry cargo department by finding new clients and businesses to develop.

Together of the other members of the team, I also formed young shipbrokers that were hired by the company with no experience.

The main action taken in the daily job were basically the one listed below:

Organization of the huge number of proposal for cargoes and vessels position that we received every day in the attempt to find good deals between company’s clients

Hard work for finding the right proposals for each client followed either shipowners and charterers in worldwide market

Negotiation of shipping contracts and terms
