Increased profit margins by using financial data to analyze and eliminate low margin products while focusing on increasing sales for higher margin products. Margins increased 3.4%.
Saved the company $425K per year by changing out older products with new refurbished products which increased profitability by 12%.
Instrumental in lowering payroll by 6% by eliminating and converting contractors to full-time employees while created a team atmosphere which increased production by 9%.

A Waste Management company that is a leader in its field in Orange County, CA. The company has been in business for over 50 years. Manages the Waste/Recycling in over 20 cities in Orange County.
Financial Executive
Worked on numerous special projects that contributed to the company including creating a cash flow matrix, a standardized P/L model for each business segment and a financial program to manage a business segment more efficiently. Worked on the acquisition of a Waste company performing due diligence and coming up with a valuation that was used to structure the deal.
Worked with City Management to correct the discrepancy on residents billed. It resulted in additional revenue of $104,000 which over the life of the contract is over $1.2 Million.
Created a standardized P/L model for each business segment that increased profitability by 5% due to each segment could now manage their costs.

A recycling company and a leader in diverting debris from landfills. The company owns two start-up companies that specialize in green waste, food waste and recycling. A unique combination of a stable company with two companies working to be cash flow positive.

Created policies and procedures to analyze the recycling start-up business, which lowered overtime, and operating costs that saved the company $1.2 Million yearly.
Lowered the costs and increased the revenue for the green waste business that helped make the company profitable from the previous loss of a $250K.
Worked with the sales department to create programs to increase sales without capital expenditure. Sales increased 6.5% and added 1.6% to the bottom line.
Worked with operations to lower the core business expenses by 5.4%. Going through each business segment to lower cost by increasing efficiency.

CFO / LAN International Division, Aliso Viejo, CA (2002 - 2010) – Private Equity owned
As a member of the Executive team, led the finance team for a key division of Clear Channel with full P&L responsibility. The company specialized in Traffic and Billing software for radio stations across the U.S.
Led a software-development start-up of 20 employees into a fully functional component of a Fortune 500 company with over 150 employees.
Increased revenue 18% per year over the last four years by providing data and analysis to the sales department that also helped to increase margins 22%.
Saved the company over $350,000 over the life of a new lease by renegotiating the price prior to the lease expiring.
Organized a company-wide travel policy and negotiated a deal with a travel company that decreased monthly travel expenses by 24%.
Performed staffing analysis to optimize employee levels that decreased total labor costs by 6% per year.

A start-up software development company with virtually no revenue that was acquired by Clear Channel in 2001. LAN became the software development arm of Clear Channel and their Traffic and Billing software processed $4 Billion of revenue.
Worked with Clear Channel executives to integrate LAN International into Clear Channel with a seamless transition that helped it to become a key division within Clear Channel.
Performed all the due diligence for LAN International in the IPO of 4 Clear Channel companies that were to be spun off. The deal was for $600 Million.
