Fusing Process Engineer

●Redesigned an oil delivery sub-system for a 500ft/min Ink Jet Printer resulting in a savings of 25% in parts and materials for each unit built.

●Redesigned a critical fuser component to double its life. This was a savings of approximately $150K/year in parts and labor. Also, designed an Excel spreadsheet for Field Service use to automatically log failure reports on test components.

●Redesigned the fuser oil bottles to all share 1 mold and 1 color. This was an estimated savings of $250K per year.

CVC / Veeco, Rochester, New York 1995 - 2000

Thin Film Process Manager

●Designed and implemented a procedure for system qualification that reduced the total time needed by 50%. This resulted in a savings of over $160,000 per year and doubled the throughput of the department.

●Led a team of 18 Engineers and Technicians that qualified and delivered over $30M in equipment sales. I was also responsible for answering Customer questions and troubleshooting process problems.

●Led a small team of engineers that performed a technology transfer from a purchased company.
