ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Ultrasound Elastography enhancement using Robotic arm
A robotic Ultrasound probe controller was developed and is capable of accurately monitoring the tissue deformation for controlled strain imaging of Ultrasound and can be controlled wirelessly over Bluetooth.
Monitoring the Glucose Levels for Diabetic Patients with respect to Carb Count
Used MATLAB- Graphical User Interface (GUI) to monitor the glucose/sugar levels based on the carb intake and also the HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin) levels, in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. Programmed the GUI in a way that warns the patients about two things- one for the high glucose level and one for the abnormal HbA1c level.
Surgical Smoke Plumes
Researched on the effects of the Surgical Smoke plumes in the operating room and various precautions taken to evacuate and absorb the smoke. Presented a new method to minimize the surgical plumes- which was to “Bio-mimic” the functions and the mechanisms of the plants that not only absorbs the smoke but also the organic components present in the smoke.
Design of Electrocardiography (ECG) Monitor
Designed and built an ECG monitor system using operational amplifier: OP-27. Connected the ECG electrodes to obtain the ECG signal.
Design of Signal Conditioning Circuit
Designed a two-stage differential amplifier using three op-amp and measured the differential gain, common gain and Common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) for low frequency input.
Ultrasound Speckle Denoising
An ultrasound image with noise was taken and the Non-local means (NL-means) algorithm was performed for speckle denoising of ultrasound images using MATLAB coding.
Active Car Bonnet and Airbag safety system using dual-axis MEMS accelerometer
A dual-axis MEMS capacitive based accelerometer crash sensor was designed using AutoCAD & COMSOL and fabricated to connect it further to a pedestrian safety system that can be used in automobiles.
EXPERIENCE
Functional and Molecular Ultrasound Research Laboratory Detroit, Michigan
Research Assistant Jan 2017 - Present
Lead and coordinated the team which successfully build the robotic arm which helps ultrasound imaging operator to image the tissue wirelessly over Bluetooth.
Detroit Medical Center Detroit, Michigan
Volunteer May 2016-July 2016
Shadowed the surgeons in surgery room at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) in various departments like Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Urology, Catherization Laboratory, Interventional Radiology Lab and more. Talked about the issues related with the instruments used by them in the surgery and made reports on the same.
Spinco Biotech Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad, India
Service Engineer Intern Jan 2015 - Aug 2015
Shadowed and assisted service engineers for the maintenance of High Pressure Liquid Chromatography devices and Gas chromatography devices.
