Summary:
Passionate and hard-working engineer-in-training who is excited to learn valuable skills in the field of engineering and design. Responsible for leading the power system strategy for the senior capstone project and implementing a wireless inductive charging system. Highly motivated, eager to develop, and prepared to take the next step.
Education:
San Diego State University, December 2017
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
NCEES FE Electrical & Computer CBT – E.I.T.
Work Experience:
San Diego State University – Informational Technology Systems May 2015 – August 2015
Student Assistant – Summer Work Study
Followed instructions meticulously to assemble university computer podiums. Contained switches, relays, complex cabling, and delicate hardware.
Troubleshooted and resolved I.T. issues professors had in real-time and during routine checks.
Assisted staff with installing projectors, upgrading classroom technology, pulling cable, and installing audio/video systems in classrooms.
Expected to complete tasks in an individual environment without supervision.
Design Experience:
San Diego State University – SafeStride
Collaborated with a team of engineers to create a project with an impactful purpose.
Compiled, compared, and selected power system components such as voltage regulators, transistors, capacitors, diodes, resistors, and power supplies.
Gained a thorough understanding of engineering design process, developing and prototyping several different solutions.
Utilized oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, variable loads, frequency generators, and variable voltage power supplies.
Applied knowledge of simulation software to create a working test environment before assembling prototypes.
Major Projects:
Power Supply – Created a triple output power supply that converted single-phase AC to DC.
Power System Analysis – Programmed Newton-Raphson method to analyze load-flow and stability of a system in MATLAB. Provided information for individual line-flow, mismatches, and convergence.
Instrumentation & Embedded Systems – Created a distance measuring circuit board. Later combined this to create an automatic-dog feeder with a microcontroller and servo motor.
Analysis and Design of Electronic Circuits – Created an operational power amplifier capable of driving a small speaker. Experienced with the design of both class A and class B amplifiers.
