Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC (“SSB”) owns and manages two of the largest bedding brands in the mattress industry – National Bedding Company L.L.C. (the largest licensee and majority shareholder of Serta, Inc.) and Simmons Bedding Company, LLC. SSB is based in Atlanta and operates 36 manufacturing plants in the United States, five in Canada and one in Puerto Rico.

Plant Manufacturing and Quality Engineer-(2016-2017)

Responsible for the Maintenance, Facilities and Quality Department.

Manages and maintains Supplier Quality relations, reviews/manages/escalates Supplier RCA/Corrective Actions, introduces new products at site.

Leads the overall continual improvement of Quality effort for the site to drive increasing Quality performance with the customer

Lead Cost Out Engineer - (2013 - 2015)

Lead and planned cost improvement programs for the facility.

Responsible for Outsourcing program. Developed and created program structure to increase manufacturing areas capacity, developed plans and tracked actions to ensure on time completion of project tasks.

Developed progress report for three different level of actual projects been worked on.

Research and recommended software to monitor overall efficiency equipment with a potential cost saving of $3.5 million. The software was selected as a corporate standard.

Molding Section Manager (2010 - 2013)

Improved customer service level from 83% to 94% by developing an automated planning tool that monitors every 3 hours DOH per styles, machines capable of running the molding tool and inventory of raw material, minimizing downtime. Developed a cross departmental team with Tool and Dies shop to perform root cause analysis of Critical Molds reducing PM frequency.

Developed certification process and improved building organizational capability (BoC) in Molding’s direct and indirect employees.
