2006 – 2013 Owned a Medical Practice Management company that did consulting and billing for a variety of practices. The practices included internal medicine, family practice, general surgeons, physiatrist and others. Maintained a 98% first pass success for 7 years.
2002 – 2006 Chief Operations Manager for Visionary Medical Solutions, Inc. I first had to get the original company IAMS reorganized to make them attractive for purchase. I reorganized successfully and sold to Visionary Medical Solutions, Inc., which I went with as their Chief Operating Officer. I was responsible for total operations of the company. I was responsible for merging the operations of several companies that had been purchased. Completed the successful transfer of the software to a cloud. I was responsible for sales, marketing, accounting and other prts of the operation.
1981 – 2002 Started an Independent Insurance Agency. We secured a major association program that netted over $400,000 per month. Developed a computer system so we could manage and bill for the insureds and manage the membership. Developed a program as an alternative to workers comp and developed a statewide distribution system.
08/1998 to 6/2002 Added a medical billing company. I started out billing for ambulance services and consulting for Durable Medical Equipment companies.
3/1979 – 4/1981 Insurance agent for Mutual Benefit Life.
08/1977 – 03/1979 Business and Accounting Manager for a group of companies that included a Car Dealership, Wholesale Auto Parts company, Real Estate holdings, and Farming. The car dealership had a number of problems. Improved the trust position, improved the collection of warranty claims. I completely reorganized the purchasing system for the wholesale auto parts company. Organized a major inventory reduction and reorganization significantly improving the turnover. Implemented a computer system that improved the purchasing.
05/1976 to 08/1977 Accounting Manager for a Long Haul Trucking Company. Helped organized the accounting department. Worked on securing several accounts. Cut employee turnover and reduced costs.
03/1974 to 04/1976 Insurance and Risk Manager for an International Corporation. I was responsible for paying medical claims. Reviewed insurance coverage worldwide, eliminated some exposures. I revamped the Workers Compensation Program saving over $250,000.
10/1972 to 03/1974 Served as Business Manager for a 4 Million dollar charitable organization. When I started the group didn’t have an accounting system and had both Federal funds and private donations comingled. Installed an accounting system and later computerized the system. Helped the organization secure over $3 Million in grants.
2/13/1967 – 5/31/72 Worked as District Controller for UPS. Started as a sales/customer service representative. I served as a center supervisor, industrial engineer and assistant controller. Promoted to district controller of a new district.

Some Additional Capabilities
I have amassed a number of different capabilities through various situations I have been in the position to lead and train sales people in various industries. The various industries include car dealership, wholesale auto parts, insurance, computers and software applications, medical practice management.
I have been in position to manage and oversee the company marketing. The marketing included the determination of direction of marketing efforts. The efforts included television, newspaper, internet advertising, wed site development and management. I have also had the management of customer service and customer development. I also oversaw the training of business opportunity buyers.
I directly handled the accounting for a major transportation company, a long haul trucking company, automobile dealership, a wholesale auto parts company, a medical software company, insurance agency and others. I also while still in college designed and implemented a complete accounting system for a 501C3 organization. I also designed and implemented a computerized system that included reporting for federal, state, county, and private funding.
I have written training manuals and operational guidelines. I have authored web site content and numerous marketing brochures. I have supervised computer software development and management of the entire development program including overseas programmers. I also oversaw the transition of a major software to a cloud environment.
On a personal side I have volunteered with numerous groups. I coached debate at a local high school as a volunteer. I am also a certified Presbyterian USA lay minister. My hobbies include reading, writing, woodworking and golf.
