Credentialing Coordinator (March 2015 to July 2015)

Perform initial credentialing on new hire and acquisition providers that join the Company

Prepare and present completed credentialing files and summary reports to the Credentialing Committee;

Articulate key file issues and advise the Credentialing Committee of the NCQA Standards and Credentialing Policy and Procedures that may affect their decision; obtain from the credentialing committee member approval signature and memo if conditions are part of the approval

Responsible to renew executive physician licenses

Review credentialing application and CV for accuracy and completeness, identify, log and request missing documentation and information

Critically evaluate complex credentialing applications for issues that may require special consideration, or additional review, and take appropriate action to resolve issue

Retrieve background screen results and review. Escalate to Supervisor for review and recommend next action to resolve issue, if necessary present file to Human Resource representative and/or Credentialing Committee Chair for review and sign off

Perform primary source verification using Credentialing Checklist and other verifications as defined by management and/or health plans. Upload into credentialing system.

Comply with Credentialing Policy and Procedures and departmental guidelines/procedures.

Respond to emails and other requests providing status updates within one business day, from receipt of request.
