Senior Project Manager - Fannie Mae; Engineering Operations & Hosting Services

Managed several large-scale, critical projects and highly visible initiatives for the Storage, Computing and DevOps teams. Successfully collaborated w/ business owners, PMO, senior management, engineering teams and multiple vendors to plan and complete high-risk enterprise level projects.

Migrating the Reston data center exit to another internal data center.

Migrating DevOps environments from EMC to IBM storage to test and perform POC testing for vital financial end of day processing systems.

Managing the gradual build out and cutover to a new large-scale production computing grid environment to replace EOL components and to provide much better performance and an equivalent environment to the testing environment. Worked very closely with dozens of financial application owners, engineering teams and primary vendor to determine optimum schedules with minimal impact to existing grid computing environments.

Senior Manager, Database & Systems, TWC VoIP Operations

Managed the 3 4-person teams responsible for delivering special development projects, L3 support activities, reporting / extract requests and DBA activities associated with Digital Phone Order Management System. Award winning achievements:

Assumed additional duties by serving as the Technical Program Manager for the cooperative initiative responsible for migrating 2 million subscribers from Verizon to Sprint to save $5M annually in operation cost

Facilitated the complex migration process definition between all cross-functional teams and vendors; wrote detail script designs; tested E2E solution; and performed the day-to-day scheduling and troubleshooting activities to ensure the success of this 1+ year project.

Identified and resolved a critical reporting need by quickly designing, testing and implementing the data warehouse and PHP GUI to capture key data from the legacy provisioning system and its replacement to ensure reporting continuity across divisions and in accordance to with FCC obligations.

Deployment & Release Project Manager, TWC VoIP Operations

Successfully managed and planned all nationwide software releases, migrations and infrastructure maintenance activities required to maintain VoIP provisioning systems and switch maintenance across 8 regional data centers for 30+ Digital Phone divisions.

Technical Manager, AOL Search Operations

Created and managed a $15M budget and a large team of UNIX/Linux and database administrators responsible for scaling, launching and supporting the web and back-end servers that support all domestic search applications for the AOL brands and partners. Effectively collaborated with a large collection of stakeholders, vendors, partners and cross-functional teams to ensure all projects were launched on schedule and in accordance with operational best practices, business requirements, and in accordance with SLA and legal obligations.

Championed the effort to lower AOL Search operating costs by $20M by introducing newer technologies, consolidating processes across brands, creating a costing capacity model and allocating resources optimally.

Proactively scaled AOL Search servers to handle the gradual 100% traffic increase and managed the lease returns and upgrades for 300+ servers w/ zero availability impact.

Radically improved search applications' availability by introducing site redundancy, standardizing deployment methodologies, and implementing real time monitoring to provide and present vital KPI data to AOL executives, partners and vendors.

Streamlined the project request process and formalized the support turnover to the NOC so that team could focus on the “fire hose” flow of new business initiatives and projects.
