Resume:

Pushpa Raghani, Ph.D. (Physics)

Data Scientist

email:ac5v8e@r.postjobfree.com Phone: 408-***-**** https://github.com/pushpajnc, Objective: Seeking opportunities as a Data Scientist. Experience:

I develop models for predicting properties of nanomaterials using various computational methods such as molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo methods, and Markov methods and density functional theory. I have a strong background in probability, statistics, programming, and shell scripting. I have presented my research in many international conferences and have strong communication skills. At Praedicat, I developed models for emerging risk identification and performed liability catastrophe analytics through data mining and modeling.

Education:

PhD in Physics – JNCASR, India, with a strong emphasis on numerical methods applied to materials modeling

Publications:

I have published 24 papers in peer-reviewed international journals including one in Nature and one invited book chapter in Springer:

• P Kumar, V Sharma, F A. Reboredo and R Pushpa “Electric field control of magnetic properties of W adsorbed tri-vacancy fluorinated graphene”, Scientific Reports. (Nature publishing g.) 6, 31841, (2016)

• R Pushpa, “Investigating complex surface phenomena using density functional theory” in Practical Aspects of Computational Chemistry III, 2013, Springer (Invited) Work at Praedicat (a startup in LA):

Developed models for emerging risk identification for technical underwriting. Also developed models for calculating scores of correlating harmful chemicals with a given harm based on the scientific literature. Did time series analysis to predict the future correlation between Litagion and Harm based on the scientific literature. I also used Monte Carlo methods to predict number of publications and their characteristics into the future.
