Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Dallas, Texas 2016-2017

Sr. Capital Readiness Team Manager (Contractor)

Managed capital programs and program management team for light rail systems delivery of expanded and new construction programs for the Capital Engineering and Construction team. Using Six Sigma and transformational management I reduced proposal submittal time for the Light Rail Expansion Projects by 25% to meet demanding schedules. I coordinated independent cost estimate validation to certify proposal pricing.

Bell Helicopter – Textron, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas 2006-2015

Senior Manager, Engineering – India (expat assignment)

Managed Bell’s India engineering and manufacturing support operations as the Business Unit Leader, Bangalore, India. Responsibilities included technical, resource, training, financial, workload, and strategic management for approximately 120 people, including 9 managers. Supported the certification (TCCA and FAA) of Bell 525 and 505 helicopters. Also transitioned the airframe manufacturing of the Bell 407 helicopter to India, resulting in significant cost reductions to the program.

Engineer V – Innovation Team – Developed future aircraft concepts and strategies for Bell. Supported development for FAA 14CFR, part 21, 29, and 145. Introduced next generation vertical lift concepts.

Chief of Avionics – Managed avionics integration, electrical analysis, and electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) team for commercial and military helicopters. Certifications of RTCA, DO-160 aircraft certification. Lead critical avionics projects for certification and drove projects for on-time and on-budget delivery.

Manager of Engineering Support Equipment - Lead the ground support equipment and helicopter accessory components team for both military and civilian helicopters. Lead bid and proposal process, design and development, and installation and support operations for all support equipment programs.

Wyndham International, Inc., Dallas, Texas 2001-2005

Vice President of Engineering

Developed regional area engineering network teams for 200 plus hotels and resorts, with $3 Billion-plus in assets on an international level. Developed and managed national contracts on all facility engineering operations. Developed operational changes for cost controls, quality improvements, and energy management. Managed $80 million electrical and natural gas utility budget, with contracting in deregulated markets. Saved energy cost of over $2M in 1-year.
