Job Description:
1. Maintain, repair and install all ground telecommunication equipment (Radio transmitters, receivers and repeaters.) including the erection/installation of HI-Sites (repeater sites). 2. Deploy mobile communication equipment for operations, mast rigging for installation of relevant antenna systems for the bands and modulation types; (HF, VHF, UHF, AM, FM).
3. Work with professionals and experts in the maintenance, repair, installation and calibration of navigational aids. (Instrument landing system components namely; Localiser, Glide slope, Direction finder, Inner, middle and outer markers, VOR and meteorological equipment.) also service air traffic controller consoles.
4. Install, maintain and repair telephone lines [(create, shift and route from the PABX, MDF, IDF, DB to the end user point.), data lines e.g. (LAN points), Intercom systems and alarms)], also setup a wireless network for a closed user group for operations.

Job Description:
1. Supervise a team and oversee the progress of that team in performance of all routine maintenances, installations and repairs as required by the client, and also be part of that team.
2. Key performance areas are to make sure all the organisation infrastructure including repeater hi-sites, Police stations and vehicles have communication and it is well maintained to enhance a quick response of police, and make sure the emergency equipment (Blue lights and sirens.) are well maintained and up to the latest standards to emphasise police visibility.
3. Identify equipment to be replaced and give advice for acquisition and procurement purposes, also compile an asset register to submit as a report to management.
4. Provide basic workshop training to learner technicians and keep a safe and risk free workshop standard and environment according to OHS requirements.
5. Assist with office administration and fleet management.
