Responsible for the production, analysis and resolution of freight claims and vendor charge-backs within a $20B supply chain. Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of MS Access databases including SQL and Visual basic add-ons to both Access and MS Excel in order to efficiently and effectively process ~500K claims annually. Manage the financial reporting of recovered loss and claim resolution. Work cross-functionally with Field Logistics, Transportation, and Finance personnel to ensure validity, accuracy, and recovery of lost or damaged product value. Communicate directly with Carriers, vendors, and distribution center operators in order to resolve claims. Review carrier contracts and recommend amendments when necessary. Oversee freight claims financial reporting and general ledger entries. Ad-hoc database development and reporting as needed to support Executive level needs.
