Sagitec Solutions provides modernized pension administration software (ASPEN) for teacher’s retirement systems. The project involves automating and streamlining majority of the manual processes and interfaces. [Client: New York Teacher’s Retirement Systems]

• Gathered evidence to push for the need for changing from legacy system (UPS) to ASPEN in forms of benchmarks, case studies and demos to client. Created buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

• Responsible for ensuring that over all product strategy aligns with risk landscape, key success metrics, and efficiency goals across multiple projects using agile methodology.

• Lead project teams consisting of developers and testers to automate manual processes, saving time and money while decreasing errors. Credited as a primary driving force behind a 5% increase in margins this fiscal year.

• Responsible for translating stakeholders business requirements and managing Backlogs, User stories, BRD and FRDs.

• Partnered with cross-functional teams to design solutions and transform end-to-end processes for large complex initiatives into action oriented objectives and measurable results using scaled agile framework methodology.

• Implemented complex processes such as Fixed Interest, Fund Unit Explosion and ITHP Posting using BPM approach, which could run asynchronously, or synchronously with other processes to perform retroactive adjustments.

• Designed banking loan process to monitor sanctioning of loans, notification of payment dues, periodic liquidation of loans for the members.

• Built QPP Contribution Discrepancy Resolution application supported both on web and mobile to ensure fund excess and deficits are identified and auto resolved on a timely manner or manually paid off using ACH, E-check or Credit card banking options in ASPEN for Teacher's Retirement System (NYCTRS).

• Designed and implemented Death Benefit process covering Life time or Joint and Survivor annuities in ASPEN using the Service Request Management (SRM) architecture for Teacher’s Retirement Systems (NYCTRS).

• Solely responsible for refactoring of Beneficiary Designation, Communication Strategy and General Ledger processes to eliminate redundancy and support structured and more streamlined architecture in ASPEN.

• Worked with number of third party vendors for different features. Some of the vendors include Official payments ACI for secure payment systems through portal, Lexis-Nexis and Melissa data for identity verification, City Human Resources and Management Systems for death match reports, FISA and PPMS for payroll administration.
