VII) Duties and Responsibilities
Community health nursing department
Making home visits and being responsible for providing domiciliary care and referral services for antenatal and postnatal mother under five children and acute and chronic morbidity cases.
Organizing doctor run clinics (Morbidity, maternal and child health clinics)
Conducting nurse run clinics like maternal and child health clinic, morbidity clinic, immunization clinic and first aid clinic
Rendering referral services to secondary and tertiary levels and offering regular follow ups.
Educating individuals and families on cause, spread and prevention of respiratory tract infection, worm infection, and scabies.
Take comprehensive health history from patients
Perform system wise physical examination
Record complete and relevant information
Interpret the investigation (blood, urine, stool)
Use appropriate measurements (BP, checking, Blood sugar assessment, weight checking)
Provide health education and counseling as per the disease.
SURGICAL WARD (orthopedic surgery)
Assessing the physical and psychological needs.
Planning the patient care, physical examination including assessment of neovascularity.
Meeting nutritional needs of patients (Oral, Total parental nutrition, Intravenous infusion).

Conducting bedside nursing rounds and clinical teaching.
Evaluates performance in the clinical area along with ward sister, with facts supporting it.
