Handling the entire range of maintenance work required to perform the relevant repair, preventive, predictive and design-out activities of the plant and equipment.
Leading the entire range of construction and maintenance departments’ responsibilities including installation, repair and maintenance etc.
Making visits to clients accompanied by representatives and assisting with the instrument control side.
Using hand tools and precision instruments to dismantle malfunctioning instruments and test equipment like multimeters, electrical ovens, bar graphs, and environmental cabinets.
Writing appropriate maintenance procedures that support defected free maintenance. Job Responsibilities:
Controlling and measuring variables like chemical composition, flow, pressure, motion, temperature, force, plc’s and dcs systems
Using different instruments (i.e., potentiometer, resistance bridge, manometer, and pressure gauge) to reassemble instrument/test equipment; and examining assembly for conformance to specifications.
Modifying, specifying, recording, telemetering, and controlling variable test equipment and speed drives.
Rebuilding the motor test panel and calibrating control instruments.
Carrying out field loop test to an ABB plcscada system and modified loops on scada. Job Responsibilities:
Making periodic inspections on instruments and test equipment; following specified standards to modify calibration.
Procuring all the required equipment, parts, services and documentation to successfully carry out the maintenance work.
Getting the mine ready for production by overhauling existing instruments and installing new control systems.
Updating the existing Allen Bradley Scada system to add on new control loops.
Building a job card system for implementation at mine; giving all section and equipment numbers; and adding standard risk assessments onto job cards and loaded schedules.
Creating, maintaining and enhancing the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.
Testing circuitry and mechanisms for defects and replacing or repairing defective parts.
In charge of fault finding and repairing programme issues on Siemens S7scada system.
Calibrating weighing scales and modifying control systems to control in Auto mode.

Administering the installation of Instrumentation on a Sulphuric acid plant at Tsumeb, Namibia to a Yokagawa DCS system.
Handling the installation, loop checking and commissioning of Instrument loops to a Siemens plc with a Scada system at Foskor, South Africa.
Serving as a commissioning engineer and handing over the plant after finishing trail run. Job Responsibilities:
Overseeing the upstarting on the 3 mothballed plants and commissioning 3 new plants that were made.
Managing everyday breakdowns, scheduling and cost controlling the Instrument department.
Serving in the Plant readiness section; attending the P&ID drawings model reviewing; and reviewing plant layouts to ease cost and maintenance activities.
