I am a music/band/math/Mandarin teacher and I am interested in working in your school district as TTOC or music/classroom teacher starting from September, 2018. I received my teaching license from McGill University, and my previous work and leadership experiences make me an ideal candidate for your music program. As a Master/Bachelor of Music and Education graduate, I am confident that my academic background and knowledge in music, along with my experiences in performing, conducting, and teaching will make me an asset to your department. During the course of my degrees, I have pursued courses from the performance, music theory, conducting, and composition departments. I also participated many small and large ensembles, playing the keyboard, band, and string instruments. Such experiences have made me a well-rounded musician, able to play and teach all styles and aspects of music. Although my main instrument is piano and harpsichord, I am proficient in all band and string instruments. I have met the standards of the McGill performance degree, and was granted a master’s degree in piano and harpsichord performance in 2015. My experience in leading and conducting small and large music ensembles makes me confident that your students will benefit from me as a performer, conductor, and educator. Since mid-2015, I have worked as the choral conductor of La Chorale Chinoise de pays de rève de Montreal, and we have performed concerts in both Montreal and Ottawa. During the time at Cascade Christian School I led weekly general music, band, and choral classes /rehearsals for students from K-11. I also created and led weekly string, guitar/ukulele, and worship afterschool programs. Beside teaching music and band classes, I also taught grade 9 math for the 2017 school year.
