Kinder Morgan is one of the largest pipeline transportation and energy storage companies in North America with more than 37,000 miles of pipelines and 170 terminals. They transport, store and handle energy products like natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, ethanol, coal and carbon dioxide (CO2). These products are essential for generating electricity, heating homes, powering cars and much more. This application is being used by its employees as well as its customers. Project 7 [Prodnet] Sep 14 – June 16

Prodnet provides common platform to manage different Production assets like GoldSmith, Yates, TallCotton, Sacroc and Katz. This will help to users to process daily Production and Injection tests and also it will generate Daily Co2, Katz production reports to VPs of KM. This is highly useful to the users to allocate monthly alloations using Enertia third party tool. This is also used to calc downtime of all wells among all different fields.

Transmix is the inventory and product processing system. When bi product created in the pipelines and wanted to transfer the another product in the pipeline and they will extract the existing bi product from the pipeline and process that in another tank and separates the each product from the combination and add the additives to make sellable product and will allow the users to issue and receive the product into the tanks and allow them create orders. [This project we are converting from MS Access to .NET Application.]

Galahad is Liquid Inventory system where Business users create orders to make product movement into the terminals using rail car, barges and trucks. This will allow the users to make the product transfers and ownership between the internal customers. Each tank at the terminal will process the product and blend the product as per the external customer needs.

Project 4 [MBF] Feb 12 – Mar 13

MBF [Merlin Budgeting and forecasting], This is high visible project in the company and is mainly used to do budgeting and forecasting of Revenue and allocations of each Terminal in the KM Business. This project automated the all the budgets and forecasts using custom developed versioning system. This project provides the flexibility to business users to do forecasting and budgeting of the system for the next 18 months window from current month and also shows previous 18months of Actuals of Revenue,Throughput and allocations. Merlin, Lawson and Galahad Liquids are the main sources for getting the Actuals, Throughput ManualInvoice, Unallocated Volumes and Journal Entries. We also developed the custom Import system to get all the above feeds from the different systems and MBF provide flat form to do forecast and budgeting for each Terminal in the KM Business.

Project 3 [Merlin & Production Support] Jan 10 – Feb 12

On the Terminals side I worked on Billing system project called Merlin for Both Bulk and Liquids Terminals. Actively worked on the Calc system throughput and ancillary service based transactions. Developed bunch of screens for this billing system and also worked on huge number of Invoice reports. Also worked on the Report Packaging tool which was very useful and high traffic screen for all business users. Worked on design and develop the core Contract screen which is being used by business team to setup contract setup.

EPTS [Eastern pipeline Transportation Services]

Description:

El Paso Corporation provides natural gas and related energy products in a safe, efficient, and dependable manner. They own North America’s largest natural gas pipeline system and it is one of North America’s largest independent natural gas producers. El Paso Corporation's Transportation group is in process of rewriting its application using Microsoft .NET Technology. This application is being used by its employees as well as its customers. Here, I worked on EPTS Framework, Nominations (Current project), Locations, PRC [Penalty Revenue Crediting].

Project 1 July 08 – July

My current module is "Nominations". This is one of the highly-used modules in this application. It is used by employees as well as external customers. I developed various business components, Web UI pages and written various stored procedures for this module. I developed various lookup and option pages for this module. Nominations project also explains Creation, Scheduling of nominations and maintaining of the Retroactive Pending Approvals and Restriction rules which governs the protocol of Existing and future nominations. I also helped other team members to develop various components using the EPTS Framework.

Project 2 Apr 08 – Jun 08

The other project I worked on was PRC [Penalty Revenue Crediting]. PRC deals with all Accrued interests of each party and calculates interests accordingly. I developed various business components, Web UI pages and written various stored procedures for this module. Developed crucial screens like Annual Revenue Billed, TOC Summary PR Billed which are mainly used for calculating the accrued interests as per the current year.

Project 3 Oct 07 – Mar 08

Locations deals with current meter locations and Leg codes of all the meters located right from Gulf Mexico to Canada. I developed various business components, Web UI pages and written various stored procedures for this module. Developed screens for Leg Code, Segment Code, Zone code, Path Model and for the locations. Designed and developed common lookup for Locations which can be accessed by all other projects in EPTS.

Project 4 Mar 07 – Sep 07

The First project I worked on was "EPTS Framework". This is the framework on top of .NET Framework that El Paso Corporation's Transportation Group uses for this application. This framework consists of all the common components required across all the modules. The framework module required some major enhancements for development of future modules. In this module, I created some common components and functionalities which are being used across all the modules. I also did some of the other fundamental enhancements in the framework.

Responsibilities:

Involved in the Development of Nominations, Locations, EPTS Framework and PRC Modules.

Analyzed the JADE Versata code and developed the Noms, Locations and PRC modules.

Business Process Designer [BPM]

Description:

Business Process Designer is the first iteration of the Business Process Management System [BPMS]. The scope of this iteration would be to develop basic BP elements, which can be placed on a BP Map. This would include a Toolbox where elements can be placed, a Property window (showing properties), Process Explorer (similar to Solution explorer). Each element would be having a property called as code snippet. User can enter code (Business Logic) and compile. The language supported would be all the .Net compliant languages with basic scripting languages – VB Script, Java Script & Jscript. Skins where the user can create and customize the existing skins at each control level. An editor also was developed for recognizing the key words of the individual language.

Business Process Designer II is the Second iteration of the Business Process Management System [BPMS]. The scope of this iteration would be the to provide new features like Business Activity Monitoring, Business Process Work Flow, Orchestration, Business Rules Engine and Business Process Execution Language. Orchestration is a module in which user can Manage, both Server level and as well as Process Level variables. These variables can be consumed by the many no of business processes and in the Business rules engine to create business rules. The value of the variables can be accessible to all modules where so ever they are being used. User can have the centralized repository for these variables to manage them in the application.
