Description:ECS (Enterprise Claims System) program is re-architecting the world’s largest property and causality claims system and adding new functionality to the claims suite of automation tools. This is one of the largest and most complex endeavors ever undertaken at State Farm. The new system automates claim handler tasks and certain claim payments and allow any claims to be processed by any claim handler/representative, anywhere at any time. As system test executioner I have worked on both auto and fire claims. I have worked extensively with Medical bills that involves communication with external vendor (HCAI). Similarly I work on Glass scenarios that also involved communication with external vendors for the postage of bills as per scenarios (Vendors for Glass: US: Lynx and Canada: Belron / Nutech). Glass scenarios include glass replacement or repairs in auto (Glasses here refer to window glass as well as wind shield). The function of Bill Management Glass application was to systematically receive, review, autopay and trigger the creation of a claim for appropriate auto glass. Before each release the whole application will be regression tested. The defects from regression testing are marked with appropriate priority, assigned, tracked, re-tested and closed before providing signoff.

TMS-VIPER Migration: The primary objective of the migration of trade flows from TMS (IBM mainframe) to VIPER (J2EE) was to enable decommission IBM Mainframe to capture contract savings estimated at 40M. The decommissioning had a “hard date” that coincided with the contract renewal deadline.
Test Strategy Overview:Full production parallel and automated comparison resulting in no variance or explainable variance was the primary strategy of testing. The eleven front-office trade flows were migrated from TMS to VIPER in two waves. Testing was conducted in two waves corresponding to the migration. The front–offices in the first wave moved through testing to production followed by the front offices in the second wave. Wave 1 consisted of trade flows from five front offices that pass Equity and Option products.
Wave 2 consisted of six front-office trade flows with Fixed Income products. VIPER actually supported Convertible bonds but not Corporate or Municipal bonds. For each wave, front office interface flows were development tested, integration tested, acceptance tested and regression tested. Each phase of testing had its own exit criteria.

Responsible for maintaining test cases and test scripts for the application using Quality Center.

Option to change the quantity of product.
Add to cart options with provisions such as one-time delivery or free 2-day shipping facilities and other offers.

Back office module is used to keep track of purchase information.
From testing perspective note structure and electronic e-mail generation were tested. Electronic mails get generated on shipping confirmations to the customers. Promotions and new offers/deals get automatically send to customers.
