Worked as a contractor at Pratt & Whitney in Middletown and East Hartford locations using United Technologies systems such as TeamCenter and SAP. Have full Military/Nomenclaturist certification. Also full TeamCenter and Solumina certification. AutoCad/Unigraphics design experience. Worked with engineering, troubleshooting military jet engine problems involving fan, turbine blade and high pressure sections. Engines were tested at extreme conditions in plant and on air bases. Then torn down and looked for various problems including wear, vibration and heat damage. From information gained mechanical design update recommendations were made on F119 and F135 engines for Pratt & Whitney and their vendors involving weekly root cause and corrective action meetings with military representatives. Also inspected incoming tools used for build and test, comparing and confirming conformance to prints before release to production floor. Worked with assembly mechanics correcting and updating assembly procedures.

EI DuPont (Biomedical Products), Newtown, CT 1986 - 2005

Hired as a Tool and Fixture Designer on the drafting board and promoted to the New Products Group and R&D. Designed centrifuges and other biomedical equipment, including a cell separation system, worked with a Swedish company that discovered the technology. Used the Unigraphics Cad System and Iman.

Also used Auto Cad and CadKey. Performed first piece inspection. Received numerous awards including 16 years without missing a day of work. Took Geometric Tolerances and other work related courses.

Contractor 1983 – 1986

Worked as a contractor for Smith & Wesson, Union Carbide, and the Paper Industry in Design and Drafting.
