B.E. Project:
“Heart Beat Detector”
Abstract: This project demonstrates a technique to measure the heart beat by sensing the change in blood volume in a finger artery while the heart is pumping the blood. It consist an infrared LED that transmits an IR signal through the fingertip of the subject, a part of which is reflected by the blood cells. The changing blood volume with heartbeat results in a train of pulses at the output which is amplified by a two-stage high gain LPF to count the pulses.
M.Tech Project:
“Optics Cup-Disk Ratio Detection for Glaucoma Identification”
Abstract: Glaucoma is a chronic eye disease in which the optic nerve is progressively damaged. This project presents an algorithm that is used to determine Optic Cup & Disk of any human eye, determining the cup radius and disk radius (in pixel) and determining their ratio, named Cup-Disk Ratio (CDR). By taking the CDR value of various eye figures, we can easily determine whether any eye is Glaucoma affected or not.
