Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY June 2016 – August 2016 Undergraduate Research Assistant
• Developed small, passive, wireless force sensors to measure in vivo forces across the patellofemoral (knee) joint
• Tested sensors which help surgeons and researchers learn more about the exact mechanisms of anterior knee pain, the most common complication associated with knee arthroplasty
• Performed various submergence and mechanical tests on the sensors, measured sensors durability and drift in resonant frequency over time
• Authored two abstracts sent to the Orthopedic Research Society Capital Region Bone and Joint Center, Albany, NY May 2016 – August 2016 Job Shadow, Orthopedic Surgeon
• Shadowed in the operating room for several surgeries, including: knee arthroscopy, shoulder arthroscopy, and open surgeries including an implant of pins and screws
