Analyst Programmer

Humana's homegrown CRM solution Customer Care Portal (CCP) contains logging, tracking and reporting, messaging and working queues. With 15,000 users, and the execution of more than 100,000 transactions per day, CCP was responsible for 95% contact resolution within the tool. In addition, through the implementation of computer telephony integration, average handle time in the call center was reduced by ten seconds per call and HIPAA authentication was complete by the time customer service representatives received the incoming call. CCP aggregates the member's personal claims and diagnosis history, current prescriptions, and even laboratory data, into a single data repository. Members, their providers, and care managers can securely exchange and add information - at the member's discretion - via Internet browser, e-mail and other communication channels. By combining this data with an automated rules engine, the application enables health plans to send personalized information to members, including health risk assessments and reminders, secure messages, and customized health reports.

CCP started as a 3 tier VB Active-X application back in 2002 and has moved on to a Smart Client application in .NET 3.5 which is implemented in MVP architecture. The application itself opens up popups to several ASP.NET Web applications which have the 7 layered UIP architecture based on the MVC pattern. The application uses Microsoft application blocks for data access. Most of the common functionalities are exposed as services to avoid re-writing and utilize the benefits of SOA architecture. Data retrieval/update is through DB2 connect calls or by calling mainframe CICS transactions over MQ.

On-call handling, Production Support and Maintenance of live application and providing performance improvements in different areas of the application.

Coding and development of new programs and enhancement to existing system using design documents.

Responsible for Analysis, Estimation of different modules based on initial requirements.

Preparation of unit test cases and performing unit testing, and providing UAT support.
