Communications Security Analyst

Analyzed packets of data from the client’s network traffic and sensor outputs using statistics and algebra to search for anomalous patterns and signatures: investigated anywhere from 30-150+ cases containing 1 to 3000+ anomalous events each day

Employed visualization tactics and analytics tools to analyze data and conduct product customer reporting

Used Excel to analyze data for anomalous behavior, created charts and tables in Excel to send to customer

Worked closely with IT development/production support teams by identifying system efficiencies to support threshold tuning for cause-and-effect of security trends and manage daily case volumes

Determined danger-level associated with found anomalies via specific behaviors and occurred results, which determine further research levels, along with the pulling of additional records pulled from internal servers

Wrote up observations as daily reports to be sent internally to articulate problems to other teammates

Reviewed new products on a monthly basis: tested, analyzed and provided feedback to developers
