Cover letter- Lawrence Thieman J.D.

Full four year accounting degree Gonzaga summa cum laude plus economics and J.D. degree.

Fifteen years co-building 50 unit hospitality lodging business. Simultaneously President, buyer, negotiator, ranger, liaison, land use planning, educator etc. for a land trust.

I am very good with people, as attested by my Presidency/VP/B/D etc of school and community clubs. Can converse with almost anybody regarding almost anything; a good listener. Immediately discerned what city many were from and started a conversation with that knowledge.

People recognize I care: a dying breed, so they trust me. Called by leaders to solve problems nobody else could: "No other leader was either able or willing the ultimate giver. Considered a consummate writer-hundreds of essays/books via Word and voice programs; editor of my school newspaper.

Broad spectrum thinker. Can do almost anything. Invest in people with foundational principals of truth, justice, honor, integrity, wisdom, intelligence and experience, which cannot be taught Food and alcohol cards/permits.

Teachers professed my college work by 5th grade. Unequaled in liberal arts, analytical and problem solving. Professors called my parents, saying, 'He's a genius. He understands in minutes what takes a semester to teach'. Read every non-fiction book in my secondary school libraries. The Renaissance and jobs for original, analytical, creative thinkers is dead. Moderate and provide research for eight stock market boards. Top in my non-paying, no jobs fields/liberal arts etc.

As commanded I have a full accounting etc. degree summa cum laude and law degree but was not interested in either except to assist in business. Law recruiters insisted one third of law graduates obtain a J.D. solely as a super MBA to aid in business, as I did.

They bought the hospitality business during my law school sojourn and immediately required my help, including as risk management/legal/front desk/supervisor/Man Friday. Dad was President of the Valley Innkeepers and WA State Hotel Motel Association, on state boards, often gone. The land-use resume shows my community involvement, including Chamber/Business nominations.

Due to my problem solving we invested two plus million, upgrading to an excellent 50 unit facility. Having solved the legal etc., the last five years I spent mostly tending/supervising the front desk while simultaneously executing other work such as procedure/tourism manuals and the landmark Washington Railroad Whistle bill etc, as we were tired of personnel stealing.

I co-built that business and tried to preserve the estate in a complicated full time probate where attorneys recognized the other side executed unprecedented fraud, so the business was sold for a small fraction of value without an appraisal. Thus, my application.

Post-probate, middle class jobs were replaced by call centers; leaders, by programmable stats. Looking for a place where people honor their word and value the same. Country boy at heart and country values expected by customers. Thanks for your consideration.
