Penn State Athletic Bands
Penn State Marching Blue Band August 2014-Present
Audition on a yearly basis as a requirement of membership for returning students
Broadens leadership skills, develops strong discipline for excellence and group dynamics working with a large diverse organization of students
Practice is a minimum of 20 hours a week, excluding additional performances such as representing Penn State at Bowl Games, numerous away football games, home football game, parades, and special performances
Section Leader/Guide
One of four leaders responsible for the trombone section which consists of 36 members
Responsible for music memorization through check-offs, various meetings with the band director, inspecting uniforms and to drive inspiration and success from fellow band members
Penn State Pride of the Lions
During the spring semester to retain Blue Band performance level for the next season
Traveled to and performed at multiple NIT tournaments and the NCAA championship in support of the team’s post-season competitions
