PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Quality Engineer Intern, Integra Technologies LLC October 2017- Present
Collected and evaluated supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within supply chain
Reviewed supplier manufacturing process and collaborating with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
Worked with quality team to update the PPAP documents, including control plan, PFMEA.
Supported Quality Manager and Engineer to get feedback for any corrective actions issued by customers.
Consolidated APQP concerns into FMEA process and standardized the work process.
Validated the samples along with its PPAP document provided by supplier.
Manufacturing Engineer, Bharath Dynamics Limited May 2012- June 2014
Studied product requirements, designing and testing manufacturing methods for missile components used in Gyro assembly.
Product and process quality is assured by designing test methods, testing finished products and process capabilities, confirming manufacturing process.
After test methods manufacturing decision was made by calculating production, labor and material cost, estimating future requirements.
Involved in fabrication and completion of given time and testing the product.
Manufacturing is carried out in SINUMERIC CNC machine using several types of cutting tools.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
The Automobile- An Integrated System
This project consists of getting feedback from different people about the available features, quality, and functionality and how they like it to be and any changes they would like to see in the project.
Later proceeding further, we will deal with the QFD (Quality Function Deployment) of the vehicle. In QFD technique we learned to translate customer’s needs into engineering characteristics.
Optimization of Tool Life in Turning Operation Using TAGUCHI Techniques
For this project work, center lathe is identified for conducting the experiments on turning process. Raw material used En8 steel round bars of 40mm diameter and length 300mm. Cutting tool selected is high speed steel square bar. Emulsion cutting oil is used as coolant.
Metal cutting parameters are cutting speed, cutting depth and cutting feed. The standard cutting parameters available on the center lathe are selected as variables.
The cutting parameters are varied one at a time by maintain other two constant. For each cutting parameter the average tool life in minutes is recorded.
The value of cutting parameters which can give the maximum tool life is determined by using the optimization techniques.
Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum H20 and H30 Alloys
This project deals with friction stir welding of aluminum alloys AA6061(H20) and AA6351(H30) in two conditions- T6 and solution heat treat condition.
In this project we study friction stir welding and its process parameters, solution heat treatment of alloys AA6061 and AA6351. The main intention of the project is to study the mechanical properties weld joints.
