To Whom It May Concern:
I am an experienced Human Resource Generalist seeking professional position in Human Resources, Recruiting, Project Management, and/or Marketing & Communications that requires my analytical problem-solving skills, ability to form exceptional interpersonal business relationships, and my strong work ethic to improve operational efficiency, increase profitability, and decrease liability. I enjoy teamwork, collaborating, and interacting with people, while still knowing when it is best to work independently. My communication skills are strong. I am committed to professionalism and confidentiality. My work experience in human resources includes recruiting, hiring, benefits, training and development, evaluations, addressing employment issues compliant to the Department of Labor Laws and company policy, mediation, counseling, documentation, retention, promotions, and terminations. I am a proven leader who managed projects and events, while being results-driven with a commitment to deadlines and accountability. I am a dedicated employee who strives to exceed goals.
As a Human Resource Manager onsite at Glaxo Wellcome Pharmaceutical, I managed recruiting and human resources for a revolving door of professional, technical, administrative, and contract employees. I worked with all departments and all levels of contact people to market our services, provide candidates, coordinate interviews and feedback, evaluate our employees, negotiate salary, bonuses, benefits, and raises based on equalizing our employees to the permanent Glaxo employees. I addressed and documented employment issues while keeping each recruiting office informed of situations and needs for promotions, counseling, terminations, or direct hire of our employees, often resulting in a need for new candidates to fill a position. I started with this company in the Technical Recruiting division and have had ample experience recruiting talent for positions. I was the employee resource on our benefits and the enhanced or specialized benefits for our onsite employees while also being the payroll resource for communicating any individualized benefits requested by Glaxo that were above our benefits so pay was automatic and without issue. I handled the new hire on boarding, ensured that each employee passed a stringent security clearance, counseled and terminated employees as necessary, and partnered with multiple staffing sources to ensure the client’s needs were the first priority. By doing this, I earned Glaxo’s trust and respect, resulting in more business opportunities. I was asked to run the Glaxo Summer Intern program. I had opportunities to fill contract employees on PO Orders when headcount was not available. I was asked to payroll employees that Glaxo wanted to hire, but could not hire directly, especially during the merger with Burroughs Wellcome. I enjoyed employee relations and building strong relationships with departments.
As Manager of Business Development for Relocorp International, I worked hand-in-hand with corporations’ Human Resources departments to provide relocation services and mortgage funding for employees that were relocating. I was the Division Director for the Wake County American Heart Association and the Education and Service Director for the Wake County American Cancer Society in which I recruited and managed hundreds of volunteers to run twenty annual events reaching fundraising, education, service, and public information goals. I was an Advertising Associate, Staff Writer, and Employee Safety and Wellness Director for Kibun Products International where I wrote press releases, advertisements, and articles, coordinated photo shoots for magazine ads, represented our product line in business conventions, and corresponded with all media sources for the CEO. I was a Consultant for Champions, which was a start-up Health and Fitness Club, while I was interviewing in Raleigh, North Carolina after graduating college. To support myself and pay for college, I was the Manager of The Spa while recruiting, managing, retaining, counseling, and scheduling a staff of thirty employees and twenty contract aerobics instructors while remaining customer service-driven while interacting with our members. Together, each of these positions better prepared me to work well with people, appreciating everyone’s uniqueness and strengths. They strengthened my time management, communication, team building, and human resources management skills.
My combined experiences have given me an appreciation for corporations and service industries. I would like the opportunity to interview with you to see if I would be a good candidate for a position with your company.
Kind regards,
