PILOT AIR FREIGHT CORPORATION – Atlanta, GA / Lima, PA 1988-2018 Global transportation/logistics company and largest privately held U.S. freight forwarder headquartered in PA, with 600 million in annual revenues, two subsidiaries, 66 worldwide company-owned/franchised locations, and 800 personnel.

Consultant (2017-2018) CFO (1998-2017) VP of Finance (1994-1998) Corporate Accounting Manager (1989-1991) Financial Analyst (1988-1989) Advanced through positions of increasing scope and responsibility culminating in CFO role, and moving to a transitional consulting position in late 2016 supporting in-progress Company acquisition. Directed finance operations supporting growth and expansion to the largest privately held freight forwarder in the U.S. and ultimately a global organization with two subsidiaries created in 2014/2015, a HQ-based customs brokerage and Mexico-based freight forwarding operation. - Critical to the successful sale to a private equity firm in 2016; facilitated the private marketing process; developed financial reports/CIM and orchestrated in-depth management presentations to prospective buyers.

Instrumental in strategic business planning for a new foreign subsidiary formed in 2015; established financial structure for an incorporated, Mexico-based freight forwarding operation aligned with political/economic dynamics.

Played a key role in the ground-level development of the franchise program, including creation of the UFOC

Assumed oversight of the internal cargo insurance department in 2011, leading critical changes to drive profitability and lay the foundation for a high-growth ecommerce business across a network of Fortune 500 customers.

- Restructured insurance department operations, implemented financial controls, and introduced a tiered pricing system and rebate programs (reducing claims filings) aligning customer rates with the level of risk.

- Paved the way for the strategic escalated growth of ecommerce (residential delivery service), ultimately managing heavy weight freight tracking systems for Amazon, Walmart, and Sam’s Club.

Key contributor to annual company owned station sales growth from 48 million to 290 million over 15+ years by introducing performance-driven bonus plans favorable to corporate branches and rewarding profitability at the District Manager level.

Promoted to the top finance leadership position (prior to creation of CFO role) as one of the youngest VPs in the Company’s 24-year history, reporting to the President and leading a 32-member team to drive organic growth.

As VP of Finance (CFO-level role), led strategic cost reduction and revenue improvement initiatives critical to increasing annual profitability from break-even to 27 million.
