Occupational Therapist - Ampersand Therapy - School Contract - Renton, WA - November 2016 to June 2017. Provided SDI for students in preschool, elementary and high school using individual, group and class wide intervention models.

Clinic Support - Pediatric Rehabilitation Services - Charleston, SC - May 2016 to September 2016. Provided treatment for pediatric clients/all ages in a clinic setting; mentored OT staff and supported owner with clinic/staff development. Volunteered at Limbs without Limits; assisted with planning/managing monthly adaptive sports events for children and adults with mobility impairments and their family members. Occupational Therapist - Trish Ostertag, PT - Redmond, WA - September 2014 to May 2016, November 2016 to June 2017. Provided occupational therapy in the home/community setting for school age clients. Requested by WA Brain Injury Association to have my name on their preferred providers list. Occupational Therapist - Kindering - Bellevue, WA - August 2012 to May 2016. Early intervention in a variety of settings. Co-leader of feeding classes at Kindering. Wrote the proposal and received funding from WA state for Kindering team to attend the Fragile Infant Feeding Institute (FIFI) in 2015. Became an SOS trained feeding therapist.

Occupational Therapist - Streamline Medical Staffing, SNF Contract with Providence, Issaquah, WA - July 2011 to August 2013. Provided direct patient care in a SNF for both long-term and short-term rehabilitation stays. Summers and some Saturdays.

Occupational Therapist - Progressus Therapy - School Contract – Kent and Issaquah, WA - August 2007 to June 2012. Provided SDI for students in elementary, middle and high school. Volunteer for local non-profit for five years- Friends and Family of Children with Deaf Blindness; managed and developed programming for children and their siblings for evening and 2 day events. Provided suggestions and support to families. Occupational Therapist - Bothell Pediatric and Hand Therapy - Bothell, WA - April 2006 to June 2007. Treated children in a busy private practice, multidisciplinary clinic. Schedule did not fit with my own children's needs.

Developed, owned and managed this private practice for 11 years; managed OT, SLP, PT’s, and aides and was an expert witness in court for brain injury. Wrote proposals, received funding for summer camps for children with brain injuries and their siblings.

Occupational Therapist - School Therapy Services & Mobile Therapy Team School Therapy Services - Winnipeg, MB - 1991 to 1995. Provided SDI for students in elementary, middle and high school. Provided fly in services to isolated northern communities 2 weeks per month. Wrote proposal and received funding for, set up and managed a battery-operated toy loaning library. Occupational Therapist - Children's Hospital - Winnipeg, MB - 1989 to 1991. Treated children in the NICU, ICU, step down unit. Was the first OT in the PICU setting. Developed and ran feeding therapy training for nurses in the NICU. Presented at an ICU course on our collaborative nursing/ therapy model. Occupational Therapist - Sunny Hill Hospital for Children - Vancouver, BC - 1988 to 1989. Treated multiply handicapped children and their families from rural areas who lived at the hospital for week long intensive therapies; as well as working as a team member of the Seating and Positioning Clinic for children living throughout British Columbia.

Treated children from Manitoba and NWT in specialty clinics: Seating and Positioning, Prosthetics/ Orthotics, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Power Mobility. Experience working with a variety of demands in a variety of environments: children's hospital, SNF, children's rehab facilities, schools, homes, far north/isolated, rural, urban and in clinic settings. Developed, owned and managed a multidisciplinary private practice for 11 years, was an expert witness for pediatric and adult brain injury cases. Enjoy teaming with clients, families,medical teams, schools to support children and adults to develop cognitive, physical, social/emotional or functional skills and abilities, and determining adaptations/equipment to facilitate increased independence and success.
