8/27/10- U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc, Chattanooga, TN 10/24/11 Business Logistics & Operations Intern (30-40 hours/week) I was the main problem-solver between the customers and my supervisors, who were the actual load/freight planners. This meant I needed to be on point, locked and loaded every day--ready and willing to deal with driver complaints, angry/irritated customer service reps and the various locations, and rushed, frantic freight schedulers. I also conducted a daily inventory count of company trailers for various customers in my major assigned area/region, which was TX, OK, KS. Occasionally, I would need to follow up with the customers via phone to ensure the safe arrival of the freight if there was a hazmat delivery scheduled. Finally, at the end of each work day, I would submit a trailer report via Excel or Outlook that detailed the day's discoveries.
