Accomplishments
Thirty two continuous years working with a major oil company /PDVSA) working my way up to the top, never stopping being a technical expert on geophysical manners, specially on seismic interpretation, and basin analyst.
One oral presentation on an AAPG annual meeting, two posters on two different AAPG annual meetings, one of them published on the AAPG web page Search and Discovery Nº 10070 (2004).
To be one of the interpreters responsible for the discoveries of the Furrial Giant oil field on Venezuela Eastern Thrust Belt.
Saved many MMM$ to PDVSA with my interpretations.

04 2006 to 07-2006 Regional Studies Interpreter
PDVSA E&P Puerto La Cruz Anzoátegui Venezuela.
I worked only for a few months on this job since I was waiting for a mayor promotion. Never the less, I was in charge of providing the structural, and velocity model (interpreted seismic lines, structural maps, well locations and Formations tops prognosis and thickness maps), as well its conversion to depth. I was responsible to come out with new ideas or work flows that help to understand the petroleum generation system. And provide new study areas, new leads and prospects assuring that there was timing for the oil system.
04 2005 to 04-2006 Assigned to The Ministerio de Energia y Minas
PDVSA E&P Caracas Distrito Federal Venezuela.
Among my responsibilities there were to; Provide the best structural interpretation (interpreted seismic lines, structural maps, well locations, faults planes, Formations tops prognosis and thickness Formations maps) of the Lorran-Manatee oil field as well the best velocity model to convert to depth all the geological and geophysical interpretations. Besides, I was responsible to interact with Trinidad and Tobago’s geophysicists Ministry of Petroleum and agreed with them on the structural model.
12 2004 to 04-2005 Regional Studies Project Leader
PDVSA E&P Puerto La Cruz Anzoátegui Venezuela.
I was responsible to coordinate the team work of geologists and geophysicists, to structure the new budged for the study and supervise it’s expenditures, warrantee the data base quality, to supervise the different studies within the study area, the development of new study areas, new leads and prospects, as well of the new employees, the designing of the strategies to develop new exploratory areas, the generation of the petroleum system, and the drilling of new exploration prospects. I formed the new interpreters since they were novice.
06 2003 to 12-2004 Portfolios Annalist
PDVSA E&P Puerto La Cruz Anzoátegui Venezuela.
I had to make sure that the petroleum system works: I run the GAEPAS to estimate the probabilistic oil reserves. Then after running the field exploitation design I ranked all the prospects. Finally I helped on the pacification of the budged.
01 2003 to 06-2003 Exploration Project Coordinator
PDVSA E&P Puerto La Cruz Anzoátegui Venezuela Norte de Monagas.
I was Responsible to: Supervise the quality of data base, to coordinate the team work of geologists and geophysicists, to structure the new budged for the study and supervise it’s expenditures, warrantee the data base quality, to supervise the different studies within the study area, the development of new study areas, new leads and prospects, as well of the new employees.
01 2001 to 01-2003 Area Geophysicist Interpreter
PDVSA E&P Puerto La Cruz Anzoátegui Venezuela. Tacata area
Among my responsibilities were the designing of the new seismic surveys, Check Shots, VSP, and the reprocessing of all seismic data, in the study area. I interpreted the seismic data of the study area. And I must make sure that the data base quality was optimal. I determine the structural, and velocity model, and its conversion to depth. The interpretation was tested for back striping and seismic restoration to make sure I was producing the best structural maps. I provide the wild cats coordinates, and formulate the formations top’s prognosis.
