Thirty two continuous years working with a major oil company /PDVSA) working my way up to the top, never stopping being a technical expert on geophysical manners, specially on seismic interpretation, and basin analyst.

One oral presentation on an AAPG annual meeting, two posters on two different AAPG annual meetings, one of them published on the AAPG web page Search and Discovery Nº 10070 (2004).

To be one of the interpreters responsible for the discoveries of the Furrial Giant oil field on Venezuela Eastern Thrust Belt.

Saved many MMM$ to PDVSA with my interpretations.

09 2015 to 10-2015 Technical Adviser

PDVSA GAS I was hired to interpret and convert to depth four seismic sections from different seismic cubes and 2D seismic.

09 2012 to 11-2013 Technical Adviser

PETROMONAGAS, PDVSA a joint venture with Rosneft, Barcelona Anzuátegui Venezuela.

Responsible to deliver the best velocity and static geological models to the geologists and the geostatisticts to built the geocelular model. Help the geologist to always pick the right geological marker

PETROMONAGAS, PDVSA a joint venture with Rosneft Barcelona Anzuátegui Venezuela.

Responsible to provide the technical manager with the geophysical and geological advice. I did recommend to create the Integrated Field Studies Team.

07 2006 to 01-2010 Exploration Project Manager

PETROQUIRIQUIRE, PDVSA a joint venture with REPSOL Barcelona Anzoátegui Venezuela.

Responsible to withheld the corporations stands, to manage the personal working on the project, to warrant the quality of theirs products, and intervene technically whenever I felt it was necessary, as a matter of fact, I did help the interpreters to come out with a workable model.

04 2006 to 07-2006 Regional Studies Interpreter

PDVSA E&P Puerto La Cruz Anzoátegui Venezuela.

I worked only for a few months on this job since I was waiting for a mayor promotion. Never the less, I was in charge of providing the structural, and velocity model (interpreted seismic lines, structural maps, well locations and Formations tops prognosis and thickness maps), as well its conversion to depth. I was responsible to come out with new ideas or work flows that help to understand the petroleum generation system. And provide new study areas, new leads and prospects assuring that there was timing for the oil system.

04 2005 to 04-2006 Assigned to The Ministerio de Energia y Minas

PDVSA E&P Caracas Distrito Federal Venezuela.

Among my responsibilities there were to; Provide the best structural interpretation (interpreted seismic lines, structural maps, well locations, faults planes, Formations tops prognosis and thickness Formations maps) of the Lorran-Manatee oil field as well the best velocity model to convert to depth all the geological and geophysical interpretations. Besides, I was responsible to interact with Trinidad and Tobago’s geophysicists Ministry of Petroleum and agreed with them on the structural model.

I was responsible to coordinate the team work of geologists and geophysicists, to structure the new budged for the study and supervise it’s expenditures, warrantee the data base quality, to supervise the different studies within the study area, the development of new study areas, new leads and prospects, as well of the new employees, the designing of the strategies to develop new exploratory areas, the generation of the petroleum system, and the drilling of new exploration prospects. I formed the new interpreters since they were novice.

06 2003 to 12-2004 Portfolios Annalist

I had to make sure that the petroleum system works: I run the GAEPAS to estimate the probabilistic oil reserves. Then after running the field exploitation design I ranked all the prospects. Finally I helped on the pacification of the budged.

The interpretation was tested for back striping and seismic restoration to make sure I was producing the best structural maps. I provide the wild cats coordinates, and formulate the formations top’s prognosis.
