Started as a WPL mechanic and moved up to the position of Further Processing Maintenance Superintendant, which I held for the past 4 years. Duties included supervision of all 2nd and Further Processing mechanics; training of maintenance personnel; scheduling; ordering parts; assuring Production was able to meet their goals by assisting in diagnosis as well as ensuring that repairs were completed in a timely manner; and providing logs to ensure that management (both Production and Maintenance) were aware of various repairs, downtime, issues that were in need of being addressed, and a member of the Emergency Response Team. As the WPL Lead Mechanic I was responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all WPL equipment including Marel Graders, Marel Speed Batchers, CVP machines, Videojets, Box and Lid Machines (SWF and Plemons), NBI package scales, GAINCO batching systems, In-Motion case scales (Weightronix), Hydraulic Lifts, Static Case Scales (Process Integration and Fairbanks), Metal Detectors (Safeline), Datamax Printers, and conveyors of various types. 10/1997 though 9/2005: Perdue Farms, Inc; Milford, DE. Started on the line in Production (WPL) and moved up to the position of Lead WPL mechanic which I held for 18 months. Duties included maintenance and repair of all WPL equipment including Marel Weight Graders, In Motion Package Scales (OSSID and NBI), Inkjets (Videojet and Domino), Safeline Metal Detectors, SWF Box Machines, Printers (Markem and Datamax), In-Motion Case Scales, Tab Sealers, and various conveyors.

10/1996 through 7/1997: Hertrich's of Milford; Milford, DE. Service Manager. Duties included scheduling, customer service for warranty and out-of-warranty repairs, hiring of mechanics and service advisors, assisting in diagnosis of various prolems.

7/1995 through 6/1996: Safford Lincoln/Mercury; Silver Spring, MD. Service Advisor. Duties included scheduling service work, customer service for both warranty and out-of-warranty repairs.

4/1994 through 6/1995: Normandy Ford; Ellicott City, MD. Scheduler. Duties included making warranty billing claims to Ford, filling in for Service Advisors as needed.

8/1991 through 3/1994: Neubauer's Exxon; Ellicott City, MD. Started as a gas attendant and worked up to Service Advisor. Duties included scheduling customer repairs, scheduling gas attendants, performing minor repairs and maintenance (tire changes/rotation, oil changes, etc), and billing.

Additional Information: I have a production-oriented mentality that enhances my abilities as a mechanic or maintenance supervisor. I am intelligent (a member of MENSA) and have the ability to apply knowledge gained through reading manuals. I am able to read electrical drawings to enable accurate diagnosis. I have a positive, can-do approach to my work and believe in leading by example (whether as a mechanic or as a member of management).

I have re-engineered electronic packages for CVP machines, and have completely rewired various types of equipment including Safeline Metal Detectors, NBI Package Scales, and Marel Graders. I am proficient in Excel and Word, as well as data entry. I am also familiar with PLCs although I have no formal training on them.
