Supervised and helped in the design, implementation and maintenance of BART (Business Analysis Reporting Tool) in the HDA (Hardware Design Automation) a BAE designed, internal software suite.
BART is an engineering tool designed to help engineers analyze aftermarket data in Oracle. It has many functions:
oRetrieval of BAE Aftermarket repair and production data from the BAE Oracle database nightly, and stores it for analysis and reporting.
oManual import (via spreadsheet) capability of numerous types of data, including third party repair shop data, MTBUR (Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals) data from Boeing, Inc., fleet hour data from GE, Inc., and others.
oSpecifically designed user interfaces allow the user to query for certain data, and then modify or add additional information to the already existing data.
oVia Crystal Reports, the user can analyze this data in a standardized format and export it to many different formats, including PDF and Excel. The reporting function of BART is customizable. Existing reports are modified via user requests, and any number of reports can be uploaded into the tool.
Responsible for customizing and creating reports in Crystal Reports for upload into BART, including dashboards and other reports that were presented to customers at reliability reviews on a regular basis.
Constantly interfaced with internal customers in the aftermarket and program management areas to implement and improve BART to suit their individual needs.
Responsible for aftermarket data submittal in XML format to Boeing via the ISDP (Internet Service Data Providers) contractual requirements on a monthly basis.
oAttended Boeing and ATA (Air Transport Association) conferences that dealt with changes and improvements to the ISDP.
oQueried Boeing’s Teradata database for trends and validation with BAE data.
Designed reports used in reliability reviews and monthly submittals to customers.
Responsible for ad hoc reporting outside the standard Crystal Report format by querying Oracle/BART database directly. Reports were usually in spreadsheet format.
Coordinated monthly reliability reviews for the Commercial Electronics (Boeing), Engine Controls (GE), and HEV business units.
Responsible for import of Boeing Commercial Electronics service center data (BAE service centers in Singapore and London) directly into Oracle twice a month.
Responsible for report distribution in various formats on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for internal and external customer reviews (via BART and TOAD).
