Assisted refugees and asylees with assimilating into local DC and Northern Virginia communities by helping them create resumes, search for jobs, create monthly budgets, prepare for interviews, and develop personal and professional plans for being successful. As a result, 100% of clients successfully applied for governmental financial assistance and 40% of clients found a job within one month.
Reconciled data between multiple sources by using MS Excel templates to capture client financial and personal information in an accurate and timely manner. This data was used by other departments to support various processes such as food stamp applications and immigration applications.
Performed quality control activities on client files to ensure that the organization was compliant with policies and guidelines. As a result, the organization successfully passed an independent government audit.
