ARROW ENTERPRISES Jan/2009-Feb/2014

As Superintendent,QC,SSHO worked with the ATF, NLRB, VA on medical centers clinics and office spaces

Construction Manager/Owner -Contracted with E09 Group as on site superintendent on a LEED silver project for Best Buy, church and school in Williamsville IL.

Building construction started in Dec of 2008. I assumed control in Feb of 2009. The project was 4 week behind schedule at this time. Working with the subs and streamlining the schedule, the team completed 2 weeks early despite with an extremely wet spring (approx. 34 weather days). Upon project completion, I composed the LEED binder to give to Best Buy for building commissioning purposes.

EDEN ENTERPRISES Jan/2008-Jan/2009

Project Manager - Contracted out to KIK custom products. Laid-off when Eden went out of business due to economic issues.

As PM on a $15+million dollar. Aerosol plant expansion, we shut down a plant in Rhode Island and relocated 3 of its aerosol lines to Indiana. This was a highly time sensitive project as we had 10 months to begin filling orders for KIK’s customers. Duties included the following as we were designing the buildings, aerosol lines, MEP and layouts: Controlled and hired dozens of subs in Elkhart, IN and Cumberland, RI; controlled construction and relocation and installation of equipment; implemented safety programs. Types of lines installed included: steam and condensate, stainless orbital welded process, RO water, air, water, 3” gas, propellant/propane, nitrogen. Also installed HVAC system including; high volume floor sweeping, room exhaust and fresh air handlers. Retrofitted two “explosion proof” gas houses that were relocated from RI and constructed a new one, as well as a compounding building housing ten 3000 gal mix tanks also relocated from RI. Oversaw installation of main power and explosion proof electrical (XP) devices and equipment while in the highly explosive environment of an operating aerosol plant. The team completed on time and budget upon delivery to the customer.

LAUTH PROPERTY GROUP sep/2006-jan/2008

Project Superintendent – Laid off after a corporate restructuring

Responsible for all aspects of construction, safety, QA, schedule and material management. Controlled all subcontractors and hired subs as needed. One project was a 13+ million dollar 5 story office building slated to be Lauth’s Construction Headquarters (MCP III). The building was constructed 10’ from the offices of the 4 partners. While working in the fishbowl, working with all of the VP’s and owners, we were able to meet all their expectations. Rallied our project team to deliver the building under a tight schedule, on time, to our tenants, and to the level of excellence that was expected by the owners.

CLEVELAND CONSTRUCTION apr/2004-sep/2006

Project Superintendent on various 15+ million dollar Wal-mart Supercenters – Left the company to expand my construction experience with medical and multi-story buildings.

The most challenging Wal-mart project was in Belmont, NC. During the course of this project we were required to move a 16” water line that went right through the center of the building pad. The city had issues with water line’s new location and delayed construction. To work around the delay, we built two halves of the building leaving 12’ of cover on the water line in center of the building pad. Once we had relocated the water line, we proceeded to demolished the old line in order to allow the steel erectors, electricians, plumbers and masons join the building in the center. This “out of the box” thinking kept us on schedule. This was a challenge as the trades did not buy in to the idea, at first. Once completed every one was proud of the achievement and innovative thinking, as was Wal-Mart’s Construction and Corporate offices.

ARROW ENTERPRISES jan/1994-apr/2004

Project Manager/Owner – Left the company to expand my construction experience.

Design/build general contractor in commercial and industrial. Met with the owners to determine their needs, designed floor plans, implemented construction, reconciled punch lists, did interior design work and moved the tenants and their belongings into the new space. One project was to build a custom Glass Blowing studio including the equipment - furnaces, glory hole, stained glass and lampworking stations, annealers, etc…. We have done projects for the federal government and other commercial clients.

UNITED AIRLINES 1988-2001

Lead Aircraft Mechanic – hold an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license as well as an FCC Radio and Electronics license. Left after the 9/11 airline industry crash and pursued construction as a full-time career.

Managed the flight deck while troubleshooting and repairing avionics and mechanical systems. Coordinated the work of 50 other mechanics during heavy overhauls. Implemented safety programs and controlled access to areas of the aircraft for personnel safety and to avoid damages to the aircraft. While working at United on swing shift, I cultivated my passion for construction, building homes and doing tenant finish during the day. Arrow Enterprises was borne of this passion in Jan 1994.

USMC 1983-1987

Aircraft Mechanic and Crew Member on UH1N, CH53, CH 46.

After leaving the Corps I worked in the construction industry an electrician, plumber, framer, HVAC and drywall installer and finisher.
