Serving over 20 million residential, industrial, municipal and commercial customers, Waste Management posted $14 billion of revenues in 2015.

Involved in the development of the OCS (Onboard computing system) & multiple other ETL projects for WM. It is the flagship order and vehicle tracking system for the WM trucks and is the major revenue generating application for WM. The project involved sourcing data from OCSD (Onboard Computing System Dispatcher), an OLTP DB, MAS (Mid Atlantic System) a CDC DB, Kronos (containing Driver punches), Compass (containing Truck fleet details) and getting all these data in a staging schema while doing an incremental pull from each of them. Then the application of certain business logic is performed and the data is pulled from the staging schema and pushed to a Datamart schema containing multiple facts surrounded by Dimensions in a Star schema type arrangement. Qlikview reports then extract data from this Datamart, and builds its daily and trending dashboards every day to give the progress and performance reports to the area vice-presidents.
