I came to USA in 2000 to start the PhD program at University of Louisville, KY during which I worked on collagen induced arthritis mouse model and the role of complement system. In 2003, I joined Department of Ophthalmology at University of Louisville, KY as a post doc fellow after the completion of PhD and started working on role of complement in various ocular diseases. In 2006, my group at University of Louisville was moving to University of Arkansas and I was offered an Instructor position. So, I joined UAMS and moved with the group. In 2009, I was promoted to Assistant Professor in the same department/lab. Early 2016, I joined The Feinstein Institute for Medical research, Northwell Health in NY, where I worked on role of neutrophils in sepsis model. Beginning of 2017, I joined Enzo life sciences. Currently I am working part time from home as a scientific editor for oncotarget and am looking for a full time position preferably involving Immunological, in-vivo and in-vitro technology.

My research involved investigation of various inflammatory mechanisms in diseases such as autoimmune uveitis (EAAU animal model), age-related macular degeneration (laser induced CNV model), uveal melanoma (using cell lines), glaucoma (laser induced), microbial keratitis, rheumatoid arthritis (collagen induced arthritis model) and sepsis mouse model. Throughout my research career I have focused on identifying various therapeutic targets for inflammatory disease and drug development using both small molecules (such as recombinant proteins) and large molecules (such as antibodies and antigens) for different inflammatory diseases. I have also worked for several industrial projects that involved testing of various therapeutic agents (small and large molecules) for various disorders using both in vivo and in vitro models. I have worked on many clinical research projects and have worked with human samples (blood, serum, aqueous humor). I have published papers that demonstrate my experience with the use of siRNA, flow cytometry, molecular techniques, microbiological, immunological techniques, cell culture and tissue culture

I have published my work in various journals and presented my work at conferences which show my writing and communication skills along with excellent computer skills. I have been actively involved in office and research administration, teaching students, residents and technicians, making sure that the lab is under compliance (IACUC, IRB, OSHA).
