Effectively manage the facility as well as all the employees on the night shift, while monitoring and eliminating overtime throughout the plant
Perform incident commander responsibilities throughout the night which includes providing sound, challenging decisions when needed
Fulfill incident commander (IC) duties as required on the overnight shift
Provide training and coaching to supervisors on employee discipline and proper steps issuance, as well as other managers on contractual obligations
Demonstrate expertise in resolving union officials’ grievances and concerns throughout the night
Assign by priority the proper resources to any critical downtime within the facility
Conduct and schedule the annual evacuation drill, and take cover drills with follow-up on any issues
Designate tool or electrical engineers to prioritize jobs and to other local plants if needed.
Carry out follow-up with engineering department on any issues that need further input and direction from their staff
Communicate directly and work with plant security on issues affecting the plant, including weather and employee issues
Partner with Labor Relations (LR) on employee issues on the overnight shift.
