Mental Health Counselor-Internship August 2017-Present

Provide mental health services in a school based setting with children, youth, and adults. Conduct clinical assessments for children, youth and adults, including use of CALFAS. Utilize the DSM 5 for diagnosing mental disorders. Develop treatment plans and establish therapeutic goals collaboratively with clients and their parents. Provide individual therapy using a variety of clinical interventions including play therapy, art therapy, CBT and other forms of interventions.
