Managed 28 to 70 union and non-union employees. Took active Design Engineering Role in support of non-degreed product and plant engineers. Designed customized product applications, and manufacturing process systems.
August, 1972 to January, 1978 – Construction Manager – Bekaert Steel Wire Corporation, Rome, GA –Managed funds ranging from $0.5 to $2.2 million per year. Expanded facility by over 315,000 sq. ft. Personally designed 97,000 sq. ft. of the expansion, and directed efforts of Consultants on the remainder. Managed Design & Construction of an acidic heavy metal liquid waste treatment facility. January, 1965 to August, 1972 – Airframe Structures Engineer – Lockheed Aircraft Corp., Marietta, GA and McDonnel Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo. – Used Structural Computer Programs to determine Airframe Structure Loads and Performed Detailed Strength Analysis to Design and Size Airframe Structure on the C5-A and DC-10 Aircraft.
