Steve Saulnier has been Allergan’s representative for my plastic surgery practice over the past 11 years. During my 22 years as a plastic surgeon, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of drug reps and product reps; I can unequivocally state that Steve is the best representative with whom I have ever had the opportunity to work.

I can sum up Steve’s strengths in one word: service. Most reps work very hard to earn your business. However, once they close a major sale, they are suddenly nowhere to be found. In contrast, Steve is relentless in providing service to his accounts. If I call him at 8:00 am and tell him that I desperately need breast implants by 10:00 am (which happens every couple months), he will find a way to get them to me whether he has to drive to a storage facility or call every other plastic surgery office in the area to see whether they have the implants I need. No other representative has ever done that. If we have a billing problem, he does not refer me to a toll-free customer service line; he comes to the office, makes phone and email inquiries, and settles the problem.

There is very little to distinguish the major device manufacturers. They all produce quality products. It comes down to the people who represent these products. Over the past 11 years that Steve has represented our account, we have grown in Allergan purchasing volume from under $100,000 annually to over $250,000 last year. This is largely due to Steve’s unwavering dedication to his clients.
