Lockheed Martin Marietta, Georgia Engineering Manager 1998 - 2015

Responsible for day to day operations of the F-22 Avionics Lab ($4M budget) performing Integration of all Avionics Subsystems testing prior to AC installation, coordination with 10 different IPTs, Strategic planning and reducing hours required to test/deliver fully functional Avionics to the Production Floor to meet schedule and budget. In charge of approximately 8 engineers, 3 on-site vendor representatives and 2 hourly personnel.

• EVMS trained and responsible for several Control Accts (CAM duties) Tracks Estimate to Cost (ETC)/Earned Value Management (EVM)/Metrics to monitor program performance as well as Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Integrated Master Plans (IMP)

• Plan and manage production schedules from multiple vendors and processes to ensure 100% on-time delivery of fully tested and QA compliant aircraft avionics to the production floor (fully tested avionics were due to the production floor every 2 weeks). Ran the QA metrics on failures and reliability of all of the tested Avionics components and made changes accordingly and worked with subcontractors to increase testing and make changes when required.

• Led technical and program teams (comprised of hourly and salaried workers) to develop and implement cost savings, LEAN, and risk mitigation strategies (added Radar testing to the lab, increased vendor failure data feedback)

• Self-manage the day to day duties of the position by working independently to determine the level of teamwork, customer focus and initiative required to complete the task at hand

• Wrote the code for the RAPID Inventory Database (MS Access) that tracks all parts, creates problem reports, tracks S/W & F/W Configurations and Perform Database Administrator Functions

• Experience writing Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW) and negotiating with and managing suppliers

• Tracked the “top 10” failures for the F-22 Avionics and worked with vendors to reduce failures and to identify the failure by conducting additional testing when it could not be verified at the vendor facility

Quantico Marine Base Quantico, VA Engineering Project Manager 1996 - 1998

Support of PM Training Systems United States Marine Corps Quantico, VA. Successfully bridged a contract for engineering support for Quantico from the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

• Duties include review/approve subcontractor systems/plans/schedules, software requirements and progress, working with vendors to insure requirements were met

• Prepare detailed analytical reports, comment on ongoing subsystem design issues and approaches, ensuring optimum subsystem performance, and visiting vendor sites for a review of facilities and technical interchange meetings for new systems to be fielded by Marine Corps

Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head, Maryland Lead Project Manager/Electrical Engr 1988 - 1996

Responsible for Harpoon Guided Missile Simulator and SLAM Missile Trainers. Began as Lead Engineer and progressed to the Project Manager in charge of the Simulator Programs.
