While gaining this experience, I have had the opportunity to pro- actively and efficiently manage employees ranging from 10 to 3,400+ in number, within six states, with annual production in excess of 50 million tons per year at the corporate management level utilizing annual operating budgets >$1B.

During an approximately 3 year period, there has been a $ 5.2M cash cost savings relative to the modifications and vacations of agency citations. I successfully led the litigation and testimony regarding 47 alleged citations resulting in a blanket vacation of the entire docket, with a corresponding cash savings of $220K. I successfully led the litigation of one docket resulting in a $ 1.1M positive settlement. Through pro-active, teamwork related citation and injury reduction programs that have been implemented under my direction, various companies have realized reductions ranging from 44% to 63% with the associated cash cost savings.

As one of five individuals hired at the inception of a new energy company, my responsibilities involved Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety and Corporate Human Resources. During my eleven years there, the company matured into a fully functioning mining complex employing approximately 500 employees. I have extensive experience in managing at both union and union free workplaces.
