Studying mathematics has helped me become very detail-oriented and while becoming proficient in mathematics, I have developed strong analytical and critical thinking skills. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and love to help people with mathematics whenever the opportunity presents itself. I work with them on building good study habits and how to think critically. 4.0 Tutoring as a Mathematics Tutor

Founder; 2013 - Present

I am currently a Mathematics tutor. I am skilled in Elementary Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability and Statistics. I have created many of my own study guides for different subjects, which I use to assist my clients in efficiently comprehending concepts. I find true joy in helping others gain a better understanding of this universal language, and I hope that I can instill my passion for math in them.

I assist customers with questions they have about our website or their account, and help them with their financial instruments. I had to pass my series 7 and series 63 with FINRA to be able to work in the position I do in the securities industry. I find enjoyment in analyzing the numbers and data with securities.

RESEARCH AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

University of Utah Independent Research Project (Spring 2016) I worked with the Utah State of Education to try and get more funding for the incarcerated youth. I looked at the prevalence of mental illness among the youth in the Juvenile Justice System then analyzed how effective this system was in successfully rehabilitating these offending youth. The main body of my report details the ubiquitous flaws in Utah’s Juvenile Justice Services regarding their ability to treat the mentally ill, and their excessive over reliance on incarceration centers. o Awarded high grade for this research course for outstanding final paper. Philanthropy Chair, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity (Fall 2013) Philanthropy is held in high regard in our chapter. My duties as Philanthropy chair included collecting donations for, and organizing events where the money raised went to Camp Hobe, which was the organization our fraternity donated to every year. Camp Hobe is a special summer outpost at Camp Wapiti in Settlement Canyon near Tooele, run almost entirely by volunteers and serving children with cancer. We would hold our yearly “Game Ball Run” where we would run the game ball from our rival Brigham Young University’s football field up to our home field on game day. We also hosted “Hope for Hobe 5k” at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. o Over 26 years the game ball run raised over $150,000 and in 2013 we raised almost $15,000 for Camp Hobe.
