Operations Engineer: Composites

Gulfstream Aerospace, October 2013 – Present

• Review and approve engineering models for producibility on behalf of composite manufacturing.

• Lead team of planners in change of generating work instructions for fabrication of composite and plastic details and assemblies from engineering models.

• Project manager on trim room upgrades which included designing new floor layout, sourcing and installation of new equipment, team collaboration, budget, and schedule.

• Manage engineering changes impacting composite and thermoformed parts by setting production cut in dates based on tooling, planning, and material requirements for production and developmental programs.

• Lead weekly Composites Change Review Board meetings for unplanned events. Review engineering changes and request for parts and test specimens outside of the regular production schedule, to meet critical shortages and ad hoc requirements.
