Objective:

Seeking an entry-level position in the field of computer science. EDUCATION:

California State University, Monterey Bay, Seaside, CA Major: Computer Science, B.S.

Languages and Technologies

• C++, C#, Java, Python, HTML, PHP, MySQL, SQLite

• Visual Studio, Eclipse, Netbeans, SQL Workbench

The coursework gave me valuable experience in internet programming, software design, creating databases, and using the Agile programming methodology to develop software applications. Final Year Project

This project involves developing an online game. The game allows various users to connect via a Cloud application compatible with the Unity game engine. The player's actions cause the game's code to run SQL commands in order to retrieve and edit information from a local database. Game structure/features

• The game's code is written in C#. SQLite requests are called using compatible classes

(IDbConnection, SqliteConnection, etc.).

• Database tables are used to store information regarding users, status, in-game items, player inventory, locations, login data, and quests.

• In the inventory table, user_id and item_id act as the primary key, so that the game searches for both when comparing/altering values in a table row.

• One of the scripts attached to the player avatar retrieves the user ID number upon creation, then uses the ID to retrieve the player's status from the tables.

• When a player incurs damage, multiple functions are called to change their hit point value in the code, the database, and the UI display.

• Each UI button, when selected, triggers a unique, attached method to perform a specific task. WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Poetry on Canvas (Art Store) Pleasanton, CA January - September 2008 Basic duties involved operating the cash register, packing/unpacking goods, and moving furniture and racks in and out of the store.

• Security Eye Patrol / Alameda Co. Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, CA June 2015 - July 2015 Duties included patrolling the fairgrounds, directing visitors, operating the metal detectors, acting as a crossing guard, and watching the 10-minute parking area. The job required me to be on my feet at all times, and we coordinated our efforts over radio communication.
