VICE PRESIDENT - OPERATIONS (2016 to 2017)

Planned, directed, and coordinated day-to-day operations to obtain optimum efficiency and profitability. Developed policies and strategic plans for future growth, set production schedules and goals, and measured results against set schedules to identify areas that need improvement.

Developed and implemented production schedules to streamline the production process while improving daily average production by 8% from 34,663 m2/day to 37,389 m2/day.

Introduced preventive maintenance to increase the useful life of machinery and enhanced safety systems to reduce the risks of accidents.

Reduced gas consumption by 10% from 848 kcal/kg to 745 kcal/kg by using advanced production techniques and technologies.

Directed overall manufacturing operations, administered plant repair and maintenance, and supervised cross-functional team. Developed and implemented a capacity building plans, estimated and prepared investment budgets, procured machinery, and managed expansion projects from planning to completion. Played a pivotal role in enhancing the plant capacity by 28,000 m2/day by optimizing and establishing the Line-2 with B&T Technology within a weeks’ time.

GENERAL MANAGER – OPERATIONS (2006 to 2007)

Managed and supported plant managers for the successful day-to-day operations of all manufacturing facilities. Planned and executed capacity expansion plans and monitored project’s progress to ensure timely completion within budgets. Sourced for alternative manufacturing technologies to process efficiency, assisted management in machinery purchase, and built and maintained relationships with contractors and vendors.

Addressed the natural gas shortage problem by establishing coal based hot air generator.

Increased the spray drier output from 18 tons/hour to 25 tons/hour.

Significantly contributed towards turning around the loss-making unit into a profit center (loss of USD 117,270 in 1999 to a profit of USD 3.3 million in 2004).

PRODUCTION MANAGER (1997 to 2005)

Planned and controlled production schedules, assessed materials and resource requirements, and estimated and developed production budgets. Oversaw production processes, performed material selection and purchase, and managed stocks. Devised and executed staff training programs, organized the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment, and monitored compliance with quality standards to improve organization’s product quality.

Participated in improving the quality standards as 1st grade quality from 79.1% to 93% from 1999 to 2004 resulted in increasing the production quality from 69% to 82% while decreasing the rejection rate from 10.5% to 2.2% in the pressing to packing department.

Reduced direct variable costs from $1.5 per m2 to $0.9 per m2 from 1999 to 2004 and participated in implementing a system to resolve customer complaints.

Reduced annual machinery downtime from 588 hours to 149 hours in 2003 and received the Chairman’s Award including Cash Reward.

Within a period of two years from 2000 to 2002 optimized the utilization of plant -1 from 90 % to 138 %.
