CSR, Operator/Accounts Receivable: Paducah, Kentucky I worked in the Accounts Billing Service Department (Hospital billing department) I was responsible for setting up payment arrangements for the patient billing department. CSR's had to learn to process up to 70 different hospital health insurance policies, go over the policy with the patient and if the insurance was not billed to get information to the team that handled this process. As a CSR we were responsible to take incoming calls and to make outgoing calls also to the patients too set up payment arrangements or to take payments that were due or overdue. In December of 2014 I was promoted to Operator/Accounts Receivable in this position I answered calls that were then transferred to the CSR team. I then processed incoming mail, processed payments that we received in the mail when done, they were sent to accountants to ready them to be deposited. I was also responsible for working on reports and confirmed that all payments were posted correctly and all information was correct.
